Chad Olson went to college on a football scholarship, and studied marketing and business administration. His sports background and education combined with growing up around his family’s automotive business in Lindstrom, Minn., have resulted in strong interpersonal and communications skills. He is the relational specialist for AJW’s team and clients. His approachable manner helps clients make difficult financial or personal decisions with a high level of trust and comfort.
People often meet with Chad after their attorney recommends him in the divorce process or even prior to retaining divorce counsel. They are faced with a major life transition and many decisions, and Chad delivers consistent guidance to help them move forward with a detailed and flexible financial plan.
Starting his career in 2005 as an advisor for Ameriprise Financial, Chad has since earned the Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) designation and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional. He has a core focus as a neutral in collaborative divorce proceedings or mediation. His skills for being creative and bringing people together help clients find common financial ground in any circumstance.
Once the historical financial research is done, Chad acts as the facilitator of different financial options, whether it’s investments, property division, cash flow decisions, providing for minor children or other family support items. In the process he builds trust with both clients and attorneys to come to a resolution that is interest-based as well as financially fair.
